Use remote desktop
If using remote desktop from home, set up a VPN connection to the campus network first.
Ensure remote desktop is enabled on your computer
- Select the Start menu.
- Right-click on Computer, then select Properties.
- Select Advanced System Settings in the left side of the window.
- Select the Remote tab.
- Select the "Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop."
Connect to a remote computer
If connecting from a home or external network, connect to the campus VPN service first.
Microsoft Windows
- Select the Start menu and type "Remote Desktop Connection".
- Enter the name of your work computer (hostname or IP address).
- Select Connect.
Apple macOS
- Open your Applications folder.
- Open the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.
- Enter the name of your work computer (hostname or IP address).
- Select Connect.
