IMPORTANT UPDATE: How to Fix Wi-Fi Issues on your Mobile Device

The easiest way to resolve most Wi-Fi connectivity issues and re-connect is to delete the UALR-WiFi network from your device and then re-connect / re-join UALR-WiFi.



Apple iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch (iOS & WatchOS)

In Settings, Wi-Fi, click the "i" next to UALR-WiFi, then click "Forget This Network" then, re-join UALR-WiFi, enter your username (your full email address, including the @ualr.edu), and then click Trust on the new wifi.ualr.edu security certificate. Make sure that Private Wi-Fi Address is turned-off for the UALR-WiFi network and all of your network settings are set to DHCP and/or Dynamic.



Apple MacBook, MacBook Air (macOS)

Go to System Preferences > Network, then select Wi-Fi on the left. Now, select UALR-WiFi from the list & then click on the

Disconnect button. Click on the Advanced button, and select UALR-WiFi from the list and then click on the (-) button to

remove it from the list. Click on the OK button to close the window. Now click the Apply button in the Networks window. Now,

re-join UALR-WiFi, enter your enter your username (your full email address, including the @ualr.edu), and then click Trust on the new wifi.ualr.edu security certificate.

Make sure that Private Wi-Fi Address is turned-off for the UALR-WiFi network and all of your network settings are set to DHCP

and/or Dynamic.



Android 

Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks. Choose Wifi Settings, then long press the network named UALR-WiFi. Now choose

Forget Network. Now, re-join UALR-WiFi and enter your username (your full email address, including the @ualr.edu). Make sure all network

settings are set to DHCP and/or Dynamic. 

Configuration:

  • EAP Method: PEAP

  • Phase 2 Authentication: Automatic

  • CA Certificate: Use System Certificates

  • Online Certificate Status: Do not Verify / Don't Validate

  • Subject Match: Leave Blank

  • Alternative Subject Match: Leave Blank

  • Domain Suffix Match (Domain): ualr.edu

  • Identity: Your FULL UALR email (jxdoe@ualr.edu)

  • Anonymous Identity: Leave Blank

  • Password: Your UALR email password

  • (If Applicable) Minimum TLS Version: TLS V1.0

 



Microsoft Windows 10 / Windows 11

In Windows you right-click on UALR-WiFi and then click "forget" the UALR-WiFi network from your device. This step deletes

the installed security certificate on Microsoft Windows 10/11, which may be expired or otherwise rejected. Now, re-join UALR-WiFi,

enter your username (your full email address, including the @ualr.edu). You may be prompted to trust and install a fresh wifi.ualr.edu

security certificate. Make sure all of your network settings are set to DHCP and/or Dynamic.



Important Reminder: All Passwords Expire Every 180 Days

If you forgot your username (your full email address, including the @ualr.edu) or password, simply login to your UA Little Rock BOSS account and manage your passwords under Personal Information / List Accounts and Change Passwords. You will see a list of your university identities and can update your password for assigned accounts. Be sure the password you choose meets the criteria listed. Some special characters / symbols may not be compatible with all systems. Detailed instructions can be found on BOSS (https://boss.ualr.edu).
