As a second or alternate method, you can use a mobile phone to receive an SMS text message to re-authenticate your account.
Select Add method, choose Phone, and select Add. If you were prompted to set up your authentication method during log-in and you do not see Phone as one of the options, select I want to set up a different method and then choose Phone.
Enter your mobile phone number and choose Text.
Select Next. You will receive a 6-digit code via a text message stating "Use this code for Microsoft verification" on your phone.
Enter the 6-digit code into the setup screen in your computer's web browser. A confirmation screen will appear on your computer's web browser stating that your registration of this method is complete.
Email
As a second or alternate method, you can use a separate, personal email address to receive an email message to re-authenticate your account.
Select Add method, choose Email, and select Add. If you were prompted to set up your authentication method during log-in and you do not see Email as one of the options, select I want to set up a different method and then choose Email.
Enter a personal email address that only you have reliable access to. This email address cannot be your @ualr.edu address.
Select Next. You will receive an email on your personal account from Microsoft containing a 6-digit code.
Enter the 6-digit code into the setup screen in your computer's web browser. A confirmation screen will appear on your computer's web browser stating that your registration of this method is complete.
Voice call
As a second or alternate method, you can use a mobile phone to receive voice call to re-authenticate your account.
Select Add method, choose Phone, and select Add. If you were prompted to set up your authentication method during log-in and you do not see Phone as one of the options, select the I want to set up a different method link and then choose Phone.
Enter your mobile phone number and choose Call.
Select Next. You will receive a 6-digit code via a phone call with a recorded message that asks you to press # to verify.
Enter the 6-digit code into the setup screen in your computer's web browser. A confirmation screen will appear on your computer's web browser stating that your registration of this method is complete.
